Math

Let’s make a cards and counters activity today.

If you have a toy kitchen have a look at how many apples, pears, or cupcakes, pizza slices etc you have. If you don’t you can use transport toys, or small dinosaurs or anything else you have in your child playroom.

In a basket place number cards; depending by the age of your child you can place up to number 3, 5, 10 or even more.

Place as many objects as the number cards, so that you child can sort 1 apple, 2 pears, 3 plums and so on, just like in the caterpillar book.

This game helps children understanding number quantities better by associating numerals with sorted object.
